Selected as 'Promising Middle Ages of the Year' in Chungcheongbuk-do [Korea Economic Daily, December 27, 2006]

Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, selected five companies, including Jitron HNT CNC Dongil Glass Korea Steel Industry, as '2006 Promising Small and Medium Enterprises'. The city plans to issue certificates to selected companies and grant them qualifications for dispatching overseas market pioneers and participating in overseas exhibition activities. In addition, it is planning to provide special support for the management stabilization fund (up to 500 million won) to help solve the financial crisis. Jitron (CEO Jeong-bok Lee) is a satellite receiver manufacturer and exporter, and received ISO 9001 and ISO9 certificates with an export record of $418,000 last year. HNT (CEO Jeong Kook-gyo) is a computer HDD manufacturer and has received KS A 9001 and 14001 certificates in the field of quality and environment from the Industrial Technology Testing Institute. On the Trade Day in 2003, it received a $100 million export tower and is growing based on its technological prowess. CNC (CEO Choi Sang-ho), a company specializing in data recovery, has secured a network of branches across the country and received the 2006 Korea Service Quality Excellent Company, ISO 9001 Quality Certification from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. Dongil Glass (CEO Kim Young-jin), a multi-layer glass manufacturer, received ISO 9001,14001 certification in the field of quality and environment and was recognized for its excellence in construction sites and was evaluated for its potential to increase sales every year. Korea Steel Industry was selected as a 2006 venture company as a manufacturer of ceiling steel supports and obtained a product patent from the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
